The MWL/Stantec Inc./Carillion P3 Design Build team have begun the design of the new 663,000 GSF Ontario Centre for the Forensic Sciences in Toronto. This project, coupled with MWL’s role as lab planner for the FBI Forensic Science Lab in Quantico, Virginia, means MWL stands as the only firm to have served as Crime Lab Architect for the two largest forensic investigation laboratories in the world.

MWL and Tetra Design begin planning of new LAPD SID unit

MWL presents a Master Plan Design Update for the City of Kirkland WA City Hall, Police, and Courts Facility. Efforts are underway to proceed with the development of a new Police and Courts Facility and renovations of City Hall.

May 2010
MWL and GSBS Architects is selected to design the new Salt Lake City Public Safety Headquarters. The project includes Police and Fire Headquarters, 911 Fusion Center and Citywide EOC.

MWL and Rebanks Pepper Littlewood Architects complete the Niagara Region Police Service Master Plan.

MWL and Kennon Architects celebrate the dedication of the new geothermal heated and cooled Franklin TN Police Headquarters with music provided by Lee Greenwood.

The MWL/CCA/Leopardo team win top honors in Chicago Board of Real Estate “Oscars” in the Build to Suit Category for the new 200,000 square foot Aurora Police Headquarters & Branch Courts.

MWL selected to program and design the new Medical Examiner Facility for Lancaster County to be located in Lancaster, PA.

MWL/Moseley team selected to Design new McLean Substation for Fairfax County Police, VA.

MWL selected to perform the second phase of design and construction administration for the new El Paso Community Lab. This consolidated Public Health and Forensic Sciences laboratory will support all of the public laboratory needs of the City of El Paso, including high containment Biosafety Level 3.

January 2010
MWL selected on recommendation by a previous client to provide the laboratory design for the new Center for Advanced Materials Research in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.  This nanotechnology research laboratory will house X-Rays, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Transmission Electron Microscopes, Polymer Chemistry, Wet Chemistry and Detraction Lasers.
